How in the world is my youngest child a teenager? I don't know how this happened!
For Connor's birthday, he wanted to miss school. Rick has strong feelings against doing this, but after much persuasion, Connor stayed home from school!
We went to Scheels (Connor is the world's best window shopper!), lunch (Nathan and Rick joined us for this), the movie When The Game Stands Tall (I would recommend this to anyone - great show), and then home for Spatza and Slap Yo Mamma Cake with Cody and Brittani, Ryan and Andrea's family, and Grandma Raynee. It was a fun day!
Connor is such an amazing kid! He is funny, smart - he knows more facts and statistics than anyone I know, in fact just the other day Rick and I were talking about Connor and Rick said "I know more than I ever wanted to know because of Connor!", happy and kind. He loves football, his friends, his phone, video games, and whatever sport is in season. His favorite teams are the U of U and Oregon. He is the Deacons Quorum President right now, and works hard at liking that calling! He still doesn't love church (I don't know if he ever will), but he doesn't complain as much as he used to. One of his favorite past-times is window shopping - he can look in a store for hours. He has a ton of friends, and our house is usually filled with 12 and 13 year old boys. Even though he almost 6 feet tall and weighs over 150 lbs, you can still find Connor snuggled up to me on the couch most evenings, and I still sing I am a Child of God to him every night before he goes to bed - those are 2 of my favorite things in the world.
Thank you Mr. Connor for choosing to come to my house. You make my world more colorful and my days happier. I love you to infinity and beyond, and then way more than that!
