Our family loves the University of Utah. We love it.
I remember way back when, when I was just a little girl, tailgating every year out of the back of our red custom van. I remember all of the red treats. I remember my dad cheering and yelling and my mom making the most delicious food for game day. It didn't matter if the team was good or bad, if it was raining or snowing, we supported Ute Football.
My little family has continued the tradition. We try to get tickets to as many games as we can and we tailgate with our good friends the Ramsays. Last Saturday we were able to get Kirk's tickets to the game. Nathan quickly cancelled his Saturday night plans and Connor got a sac in his football game so that he would be invited to come (okay...we bribe our children...I'll admit it!). It was a great game...stressful, but a dang good game. And even though we lost, I loved hearing my boys cheer, and make comments, and love every minute of it like I did when I was their age.
And so, at the beginning of what people call the holy war week...red vs. blue...Utah vs. BYU, I thought I would post some pictures of us supporting the team we love.
Let's Go Utes!
As you can see, one of our children is missing!!!
Brittani has chosen to go to the school down south! Shocking, I know! She texted me yesterday and said: "You'd die if you saw me right now. I'm decked out head to toe BYU gear."
I'm sure you know what this means...It's even MORE important that the U wins on Saturday!
Brittani - I love you and I'm proud of the choice you made... but LET'S GO UTES!
